Nice to meet you.

About Rachel Knabe

I am an artist living and working in Philadelphia, PA. Originally from Bucks County, I’ve been working in a professional shop environment since 2018. I started tattooing full-time in 2020 after a 2 year apprenticeship.

Prior to finding my love for tattooing, I spent a few years living in Pittsburgh, PA, where I pursued a degree in graphic design at the Community College of Allegheny County. Along the way I spent more and more time in tattoo shops, adding to my own collection of tattoos and falling in love with the craft. Ultimately I realized my calling and dropped out of school to seek a professional tattoo apprenticeship.

My style has evolved over the years but one thing remains constant- my love for American traditional tattoos. I pull a lot of inspiration from some of the pioneers of modern tattooing, such as Sailor Jerry and Bert Grimm.

I’m currently a resident artist at Room 67, a private studio in East Kensington. I specialize in bold, lively traditional tattoos in both color and black and grey.

I live in the neighborhood with my partner and our two cats.
